Considering relocation to Murfreesboro

My husband and I are thinking about relocating to Murfreesboro, TN. We are from San Diego CA and have never been there before. Please if you have any helpful information please let me know. Also would moving out there between Sept. - Dec. be ok??? How's the weather???
