Is there information available concerning relocating to Port Richey, Fl.?

My best friend lives there and I hate the cold weather here in Iowa. I need information with which to determine if Florida would be a place for me.

I don't like hurricanes either, so Florida may be out, unless the frequency of hurricanes is low.
