Default Allergies

My family wants to move to Austin since we hear what a great place it is to live. We currently live in Los Angeles. My mom read that Austin in the # 1 place people have bad allergies. I question this since LA people have lots of allergies here. Can someone help me anwser my question?

Not to sure about that. When I lived in Fort Worth my allergies weren't that bad. However, now that I live in California I have severe problems. I hear that Arizona is a really good state to live in especially if you have asthma

I haven't heard one way or another about allergies. I do know that if you live in Arizona like you indicted that your asthma isn't as bad. My sister moved there about 5 years ago with my neice. She has really bad asthma. Now that they have lived in Arizona my niece is doing alot better.

I think it probably makes a difference of what allergens affect you. Some trees, pollen, mold, etc are more rampant in some areas than others. That being said, mine have never bothered me down around the Austin area, but they go haywire toward the Ozark Mountains....

My allergies are awful here in the Ozarks Mountains. I've heard that Arizona is a good place to go for asthma, allergies and arthritis plus other aches and pains. I'm not sure I could stand the heat even if it is "dry" heat. Maybe it isn't as bad as our humidity in Missouri.
