Default Relocating to Seattle from So Cal

Ok, I'm gonna be moving up to Seattle soon to start University, but I have a few questions.
Does it really rain a lot, because I check weather.com and it doesn't seem to rain that much up there, not that I don't like the rain, I absolutely love it, and that's one of the many reasons I like Seattle.
Also, how expensive would rent be for an apartment near the University of Washington, about about 1 or 2 bedrooms. And I've decided to study biology, how well would biological jobs pay up there?
I hear Seattle also has a wonderful nightlife scene, what places in particular should I check out, and what areas should I avoid.
Also, how bad is the traffic? I heard frm survey that it isn't too bad there, but most people tell me it's horrible, and in some cases worse than LA, is that true? And just to add, I'll be driving a 2002 Hyundai Elantra.
Anything else I should keep in mind?

Merci beaucoup,
Marshall
