Parkland Florida

P arkland, Florida is a city of 19,861 residents located in Broward county just north of Coral Springs and 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, and Hollywood International Airport. Its land mass is 10.2 square miles and is renowned as one of Florida's well kept secrets because of its wonderful weather, access to activities and proximity to larger metro areas.

Once the site of cattle ranches in the early 1900s, Parkland is now an affluent community that has passed zoning laws designed to protect the "park-like" character of the city. Parkland is predominately residential with a small portion zoned for commercial and industrial use. With an average temperature of 78 degrees, and never getting below 45 degrees, Parkland has the ideal climate for anyone liking outdoor activity and warm sunshine. Parkland is known for its low density housing, outstanding recreational facilities, and excellent schools located in the City. Parkland has always been a city with a strong educational backbone. The Broward County School District operates three public schools within the community.
