Lake Elsinore

Located in Riverside County are the peaceful burgs of Lake Elsinore and Canyon Lake. Each community is located against a backdrop of stunning scenery, with top-notch public school systems, year-round recreational activities and an unbeatable quality of life.

L ake Elsinore is the more western community, situated on the edge of Southern California's largest natural lake and picturesque Ortega mountains, all within a stone's throw of the Cleveland National Forest. The town supports a population of approximately 30,000 residents, whose median age is 29 years old. The average household income in Lake Elsinore is around $43,000 per year. Nearly twenty percent of the residents here are employed in the manufacturing sector, and around fifteen percent are employed in the retail trade.

Lake Elsinore

Lake Elsinore is one of the fastest growing cities within Riverside County. With easy access to the I-15 corridor, residents here can take advantage of living in a peaceful community, while working in any one of several surrounding communities. Lake Elsinore benefits from a mild year round climate, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. One of the most popular activities in this area is to take to the skies, as the area is world-famous for its thermal winds. With clean air and blue skies, aerial sports have quickly become one of the hottest activities in the area.

Of course, the sparkling azure waters of the 3,300 acre lake draw residents to spend a good deal of their free time here. Visitors and residents alike can boat, swim, water ski, windsurf or fish in these remarkable waters. Picnickers line the banks to admire the clean waters and mountains rising out of the horizon. Free time spent here is a truly rejuvenating experience, and residents take every possible opportunity to breathe in the serenity of this particular location.

Lake Elsinore also has a quaint downtown district lined with antique shops and cafes. This area is over 100 years old, and maintains its vintage street lamps and window canopies that reflect the charm of early America. Locals also enjoy catching a minor league baseball game at Diamond Stadium. The Lake Elsinore Storm are a popular team here, and an affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

Just seven and a half miles to the east is the exclusive community of Canyon Lake. It sits in the southwest quadrant of Riverside County, approximately twenty minutes north of the burgeoning wine village of Temecula. As one of only five truly gated cities in California, Canyon Lake is a master planned community covering 383 acres along nearly fifteen miles of shoreline.

Within Canyon Lake, residents are never far from the water. The town features such amenities as an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, neighborhood parks, and an equestrian center. The town supports a population of approximately 11,000 residents, whose median age is 41 years old. The average household income for a Canyon Lake resident is around $74,000 per year. The majority of residents here are employed in the manufacturing sector, closely followed by retail trade. A significant portion of the population works in the sectors of finance, insurance and professional services.

Canyon Lake is accessible only to residents and their visitors. All necessary services are located on the outer edge of either the East or South Gates. Residents are considered shareholders of this town corporation, and the local Property Owners Association is responsible for day to day operations, including architectural guidelines, street maintenance and security.

The towns of Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore are each highly desirable communities, with an intimate, small-town feel. They both have easy access to major metropolitan areas off of Highway 15, but retain a sense of calm and quiet unlike most other Southern California communities.
